Has your relationship become a source of problems where your partner was once a huge support for you? Or do you have trouble communicating your needs and boundaries to your partner? Sometimes conflict is open and sometimes conflict is silent.
Couples counseling also helps couples when one partner is depressed or weighed down by a critical life event like a parent in need of care. You don’t have to be in full on conflict for this to help you.
I support you in talking to each other and help you re-establish good communication. I help you to feel adequate adult boundaries again, to talk about them with empathy for your partners perspective but also with clarity that in an adult relationship every partner has to do their share of self-care.
I rely on principles from Dres. John & Julie Gottmann – I love their recent book “Fight Right”, the “5 Love Languages” by Gary Chapman and the work of Esther Perel on Intimacy, Sex and Eroticism.
My number one tip for couples: listen to any of those works as an audio book together and talk about parts that are relevant to you. If you can’t do that, because it’s too difficult, you get hung up in arguments or it feels embarrassing, consider if couples counseling with me might be a good investment.

My approach in couples counseling:
Sounds like a contradiction? Let me explain: what happens a lot when couples have slid down into a swamp of conflict is that boundaries are blurry. Everyone feels guilty, tried to help the other and neglects their own self-care. Encouragement and trust have been replaced by service or abandonment. I can help you to sort this out and re-establish the love, intimacy and support that made your relationship stable in the fort place.
Your Benefits
I support you in rebuilding a loving connection, improving your communication, resolving conflicts constructively, and rediscovering your sexual intimacy. I help you find your shared vision again and create a fulfilling partnership.
About Me
I am a psychologist trained in cognitive behavioral therapy, systemic counseling, schema therapy and 10+ years of experience. Having specialized in women’s health I have supported numerous couples in existential crises and can dram from this knowledge. What helps in extreme situations can easily be tailored to earlier conflict stages. My passion is to help you reconnect and live in a loving partnership.
Still unsure? It’s completely understandable to be uncertain about taking the first step. That’s why I offer 20-minute free introductions. You can get to know me, get first ideas of what we can do in the counseling and most importantly: it will help you to find out if I’m a match for your challenges.
Schedule an appointmentI don’t offer a diagnostic process, and I will not assign psychopathological categories to your problems. Please also note that my counseling is not Psychotherapy event though I am a qualified therapist. Therapy is a different process with different requirements as defined in the German Psychotherapy Act (PsychThG), and I am not offering that here. According to this regulation psychotherapy is an in-person service in a shared physical space e.g. treatment room and I abide by this regulation.
If you are seeking help for an acute psychological crisis my services are also insufficient because I don’t offer 24/7 availability. In this case please contact your local health care provider, a general practitioner, psychiatrist or urgent care facility. In Germany you can reach physicians on call at 116 117. For emergencies the local number to call an ambulance is 112 in most European countries and 911 in the Americas.
Come on, get started now!
In my online calendar, you can easily choose and book your free introduction. I'm looking forward to getting to know you!
